Alexander Johan Hjalmar Skarsgård (born August 25, 1976, in Stockholm, Sweden), is a Swedish actor and director. He is the son of Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård and brother to Gustaf Skarsgård. Skarsgård has acted in several Swedish TV series and movies. In 2003 he was nominated for a Guldbagge for male supporting role in the movie Hundtricket – The movie. Since 2005, with his performances in Revelations and The Last Drop he has taken part in international productions. In 2008 he played one of the main characters in the American miniseries Generation Kill.
